Our Testimony

We had adopted our first daughter from China in July 2008, and through this adoption experience, the constant theme, “We are all orphans until we find the Lord”  became a worthy cliché’ in our home.  We knew it was time to adopt when my youngest two would frequently play “Save the Orphans”; they would gather their stuffed animals and care for them until these soft, plush creatures had forever families.  Our children were relentless in getting us to adopt again even though we would constantly tell them that there was no money. My daughter would often say, “Don’t you believe the words that Hillsong’s Mighty to Save sings, Mom?”  And then, my daughter, who was only four at the time, would begin to sing this song, “Savior, He can move mountains.  My God is mighty to save.”  Shortly after, my daughter gave her heart to the Lord.

I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.  Matthew 17:20

Twenty months later, after adopting our first daughter, the Lord called us to step out of the boat, like Peter did with Jesus, and begin our second adoption without knowing where the money was going to come from.  Each time a bill came in the mail, the money would appear.  Through fundraising, grants from both LifeSong for Orphans and  Show Hope, donations, and tax refunds, we owe nothing.  The Lord has provided for two international adoptions in three years.

“Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.  Matthew 14: 29

The Adoption House

Our church has been lit with the mission of being the helper to the fatherless (Psalms 10:14).  An adoption house was built in 2012 and sold December 2013.  Many people in our church, using their God-given talents, built this house.  All proceeds from this house, including the realtor’s profit, were donated into an adoption fund.  Joey Walker’s “One True God” single is out–you may purchase this song found on the right hand side of my website.  All proceeds from this song are going into the adoption fund as well.

The Lord is asking His Church, both you and me,  to take back His children.

Where do you fit in?

Jesus said, “Let the children come to me.  Don’t stop them!  For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”  Matthew 19:14
