My Heart

Let’s face it . . . life is full of surprises!  The roads that each of us travel on seem so different, but are they?  How many of us have hit a rock wall in life–similar to the one in the picture?    Somehow, though, the Lord uses these rock walls in our life to move us into a new, yet sometimes, unimaginable direction.  In the last four years, my life  has changed drastically.  Leaving my full-time teaching job, becoming a new home schooling mom of four children (two adopted in 2008, 2011), and caring for my aging parents are all new life experiences.

Really, this website is an archive for me to store my chronicles of life: my passions of adoption, my home schooling journey (A.K.A.  Can this certified teacher be “unschooled”?), and how these and other life experiences daily lead both my family and myself back to the cross.  It is only in the Lord’s strength and guidance will I be able to “write from my heart”, touch yours,  and, prayerfully, share His.

I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back. (Philippians 3:12-14 , The Message)
